From the network people at my institute I got given a Matlab.dmg installer and a license.dat file:
Here I of course *-ed out the numbers. So I was also told I can only use Matlab on my laptop when I am connected via VPN to the institute, which I currently am.
How do I install the Matlab.dmg file? When I open it asks me to either use a File installation key (like a 20 digit number) or activate the license with my mathworks account. I have neither of them.
